The questions we hear most.

Before you enroll

Why use an agent instead of HealthCare.gov myself?

The price is the same. The difference is that an agent compares for you, checks your doctors and prescriptions, explains it in your language, and helps later with letters, changes and renewal.

What do I need to get a quote?

Your ZIP code, who lives with you, and an income estimate for the year. To enroll we'll also ask for dates of birth and, if applicable, Social Security numbers or immigration documents for the people applying.

Will lots of companies call me?

No. Your information goes to one Simply Health agent. We don't sell or share it with other companies.

Prices and help

What is the tax credit?

It's government help that lowers your premium every month. It depends on your income, household and local prices. You can take it in advance or when you file taxes.

Is a $0 plan a good idea?

It can be if you rarely use care, but it usually has a high deductible. Check what you'd pay if you need care before deciding.

After you enroll

When does my ID card arrive?

Usually one to three weeks after your first payment. Meanwhile, your agent can give you your member number.

What if I pay late?

If you get a tax credit, you have a 3-month grace period. After that, coverage can be canceled. If you're having trouble paying, call us first.

I got a Marketplace letter. What do I do?

Don't ignore it. See what it means or request help and we'll review it with you.
