Health insurance for you and your family.

Marketplace plans (also called Obamacare) for people without job-based coverage. First we check how much help you qualify for; then we compare.

In short

  • Income-based tax credit
  • Pre-existing conditions covered
  • Maternity, mental health and prescriptions included
  • Enrollment: Nov 1 – Jan 15

What every Marketplace plan covers

By law, every Marketplace plan covers the same essential benefits. What changes is how much you pay each month and how much you pay when you use care.

  • Doctor visits, emergencies and hospital care
  • Pregnancy, childbirth and newborn care
  • Mental health and substance use treatment
  • Prescription drugs
  • Free preventive care such as vaccines and checkups
  • Dental and vision for children

No one can deny you coverage or charge you more for a condition you already have.

How much will it cost?

It depends on your ZIP code, each person's age, your income and the plan you choose. If your household earns between 100% and 400% of the poverty level, the tax credit lowers your premium every month. Many families pay far less than they expected. Run the quick estimate.

For 2027: the 400% limit is back and eligibility rules changed for some immigrants. See what changed.

Bronze, Silver or Gold?

The metal levels aren't about the quality of doctors; they're about how costs are split between you and the plan. Your agent recommends one based on how often you use care.
